This fully illustrated Star Trek: The Official Starships magazine covers the Malon Freighter. The Malon Freighter was a huge cargo tanker designed to transport and dump toxic waste. This corroded waste export vessel made its debut in the Star Trek: Voyager episode 'Juggernaut'. The crew of the U.S.S. Voyager encountered such a vessel that was at risk of exploding and contaminating an entire sector with its cargo of radioactive waste.
